KS1 & KS2

Key Stage 1 - Years 1 & 2

Years 1 and 2 follow the KS 1 section of the Cambridge curriculum.

There are Arabic and Religion exams as per the directive from the Egyptian Ministry of Education.

 

Assessment is through internal tests, quizzes, and exams, as well as observations by the class teacher.

Curriculum

We follow the Cambridge International Primary Programme (CIPP). There is a strong emphasis on English, Maths, and Science, which along with humanities, are taught by the class teacher. Specialist teachers are responsible for Arabic, Religion, I.C.T, P.E., art, and music. From Year 1, children will start learning a third language and will have their choice of either French or German.

Key Stage 2 - Year 3 to Year 6

We follow the Cambridge International Primary curriculum.

Programme (CIPP), checkpoints, assessments, examinations, and standards for the students in Years 4, 5, and 6.

Homework & Projects

Homework 

We give homework on a regular basis for each subject to ensure progressive academic development, these can be found in the student’s communication book. If the student is absent, we provide the “Homework Absence Slip” to enable all students to catch up on missed work.

Projects

Students are assigned a project for each subject within the academic year.
